Crouzet at Paris Air Show

June 3rd, 2019

T

he 53rd International Paris Air Show will be held at the Paris-Le Bourget exhibition park from 17th to 23rd June 2019. With more than 60 years’ expertise in this sector, Crouzet will be there to welcome you in Hall 2A alongside the most prestigious aerospace names.

From precision engineering to mechatronics

Founded in 1921, Crouzet ventured into the aeronautics market in the fifties with the manufacture of navigation components. Who would have thought, at that time, bearing in mind the precision engineering business at the outset, that this small workshop would enhance and upgrade its watch-making skills to such a point that it would become the acknowledged aeronautics specialist of the present time? From grips and control wheels developed in the nineties to electrical safety equipment limiting the risks of short circuiting and electric arcing via the manufacture of motors, Crouzet has forged ahead, developed new technologies and updated its products.

Safety is obviously one of the company’s main concerns but great attention is also paid to passenger and crew convenience through the use of electromechanical actuators to control doors, the tilting of seats and the energising of windscreen wipers. In the cockpit, the aircrew benefit from the ergonomic adaptation of grips and wheels for improved and easy handling. These many applications to which Crouzet components are aligned have enabled the company to become a major aeronautics player.

Aeronautical ambitions and development-driving successes

Innovation, top quality and customer / Crouzet co-design are the bases on which the company builds intrinsically trustful partnerships.

June 2018 marked the date Crouzet joined the Boeing French Team highlighting the acknowledgement by the US aircraft manufacturer of the company’s expertise and of its teams’ knowhow.
Furthermore, the company is committed to research projects such as Clean Sky 2, the European programme whose aim is the development of new technologies to reduce the environmental impact of air transport. In its capacity as partner of this programme, Crouzet strengthens its adherence to the European aviation ecosystem and underscores its ambition to become a major player in air transport worldwide.

Within the framework of its ambitions of driving growth, early in the year Crouzet acquired Garos, a company specialized in force sensors, load sensors and instrumentation. Garos’s excellent renown makes it an ideal partner whose knowhow will also be placed under the spotlight at Le Bourget.

A unique occasion to demonstrate its expertise.

A widely-acclaimed international event, Le Bourget’s June Air Show gathers together many aviation enthusiasts, both professionals for whom it is unmissable and the general public for whom it is a great attraction. With a booth located in Hall 2A next to the great names of French aviation like Safran, Dassault and Daher, Crouzet’s and Garos’s products could not be more ideally displayed.

The maker of mechatronic components will display its main applications (cockpit equipment, electrical protection devices, undercarriage and thrust reversers, motorised seats) in particular by using an interactive application.

Also included in this year’s programme will be expert talks presented on the booth by Crouzet’s and Garos’s specialists to enable visitors to discover their know-how. Lastly, the company will make the most of the event by rewarding distributors for their performances.

“The Paris Air Show is an institution for the sector and it is a wonderful shop window for the French aviation industry to which we make our contribution. It is a unique occasion for us to present Crouzet and Garos products, to welcome our customers and to open up new commercial prospects for our companies, declares Vincent Tardivel, Aerospace Sales Director. “We are more than happy to participate in this air show that has mobilized Crouzet teams for several months of preparative work. The time has come and we are ready. We look forward to seeing you in Paris!”
